Hi, I'm Sonja Stephens, Center Director of Childtime Learning Center in Modesto, California.
Here at Childtime, we are more than just a daycare center; we are a Private Preschool, preparing children with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in their coming years, and building solid foundations for them to confidently move on to Elementary School and beyond. We also provide Infant and Toddler Care, as well as After-School Programs.

Hi! I am Sonja, the Director of Childtime. I began working in child care at the age of 18 and I worked with all ages during my first few years in the field. I have worked for Childtime for 26 years. During my tenure at Childtime, I was a lead teacher, Team Lead and then became the Director, where I remained for 14 years before I became a specialist for Childtime. I am happy to be back home as the Director of Childtime on Floyd Avenue.

I originally started my journey at Childtime in 2014 as a bus driver! I quickly realized my love for early childhood education and went back to school in order to meet the requirements to be a teacher. I made my way through school and quickly became the Lead Teacher in the School-Age room. I continued my educational journey and advanced into a management position as the Team Lead, then again as the Assistant Director. I love my position and enjoy learning more and more every day.

I have worked with children since 2015. I originally started working with Bright Horizons, and then shifted my experience to Head Start. It is a privilege to be able to support our families, children, and staff as I continue to grow my skills in this center.
