Growing Healthy Minds and Bodies with Grow Fit®
At Childtime, healthy habits are part of everyday learning. Through our Grow Fit program, children are encouraged to make nutritious choices, stay active, and develop positive wellness routines that support their growth and development.
Our approach focuses on helping children build a strong foundation for lifelong health through movement, balanced meals, and hands-on experiences that make healthy living fun.
What Grow Fit Includes
- Daily Physical Activity: 1–2 hours of active play each day, including outdoor time when possible.
- Limited Screen Time: No more than 30 minutes per week at school.
- Healthy Meals & Snacks: Fruits and vegetables served daily, family-style dining, and no fried foods.

Our menus are developed with guidance from a registered dietitian and meet USDA nutrition and portion-size standards.
Encouraging a Love of Vegetables
As a participant in the Veggies Early and Often initiative, we're helping children discover new foods and develop healthy eating habits from an early age. Children enjoy a variety of vegetables throughout the week, including special opportunities to explore new flavors and textures. Our menu features 26 different vegetables, giving children plenty of opportunities to expand their tastes and build healthy habits.
Healthy Habits Beyond the Classroom
We believe healthy lifestyles are strongest when reinforced both at school and at home. By working together, families and educators can help children develop habits that support their well-being today and for years to come.
